ACTON, MA--(Marketwire - March 9, 2009) - Azimuth Systems, Inc., a leading provider of wireless broadband test equipment and channel emulators for Wi-Fi, WiMAX, and additional cellular technologies, today announced that Alvarion Ltd., the world's leading provider of WiMAX and wireless broadband solutions, has selected the ACE™ 400WB channel emulator for developing and testing its next generation of WiMAX broadband wireless access solutions. The ACE 400WB allows validation of the performance and interoperability of Alvarion's MIMO-based WiMAX solutions from early stages.
Using state-of-the-art digital signal processing technology, the ACE 400WB recreates up to 4x4, bi-directional channel fading and antenna correlation in a real-time engine, offering dynamic and statistically reliable channel emulation with virtually endless repeat times for a range of industry standard models. Additionally, the ACE 400WB performs real-time emulation of over-the-air conditions with the industry's highest RF fidelity for error free testing, ensuring that introduced channel fading is as close to the real world as possible.

The ACE 400WB is a fully-featured channel emulator designed for ease of test that can accurately create complex fading channels to test the most advanced MIMO technology.
