Bruker Corporation has introduced the LUMOS II FTIR Imaging Microscope, a new tool designed for pharmaceutical and life science research. This advanced microscope enhances the capabilities of its predecessor, the LUMOS, by integrating high-performance FTIR imaging with an automated workflow. It features a new imaging focal plane array (FPA) detector that allows for rapid, high-resolution chemical imaging, which is crucial for analyzing complex samples in drug development, forensic analysis, and material science. The LUMOS II also includes an improved visual inspection system and automated sample handling, making it easier to use for routine analysis while providing detailed molecular information. This launch aims to meet the growing demand for more efficient and precise analytical tools in research settings.
