UMass Lowell and SAIC Establish Cyber Center
- UMass Lowell and Science Applications International Corporation ( SAIC ), a global leader in technology integration, have signed an agreement to establish a cyber center that will strengthen the resilience of the defense industrial base and expand the pipeline of skilled cyber professionals across the region.
The University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass Lowell) has entered into a partnership with the U.S. Army's Security Assistance Command (SAIC) to enhance the training of international military personnel. This collaboration aims to provide advanced educational opportunities in areas such as cybersecurity, engineering, and applied sciences. The partnership will facilitate the development of tailored educational programs, research initiatives, and professional development courses to meet the specific needs of foreign military students. This initiative not only strengthens international military relationships but also supports the professional growth of these students through UMass Lowell's academic resources and expertise. The agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony at the university, attended by key figures from both institutions.
