Crossroads Systems Reaches Settlement of Patent Infringement Cases With Rorke Data, Infortrend Corporation

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Nov 29, 2012) - Crossroads Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ CRDS ]), a global provider of data archive solutions, today announced it has settled patent litigation with Chicago-based Rorke Data, an Avnet Company, and Taiwan-based Infortrend Corporation.

Crossroads Systems originally filed a lawsuit in September of 2010 against Rorke Data and a separate lawsuit against Infortrend Corporation in January 2012. Both suits claimed the two companies sold solutions that violated Crossroads' U.S. Patent Nos. 6,425,035 and 7,051,147 which cover the ability to control access between hosts and storage devices in a networked storage environment. Crossroads is the exclusive owner of these patents.

Crossroads granted both Rorke Data and Infortrend Corporation a nonexclusive license to these patents and the parties settled all claims arising out of the litigation. Infortrend Corporation also agreed to drop a counter-suit alleging patent infringement by Crossroads.
