Franklin Wireless Corp. (OTCBB: [ FKWL ]), the market leader in multi-mode wireless modems for 3G and 4G broadband data communications, today announced the launch of its new Smart USB Hotspot series of wireless devices. This groundbreaking family of devices can be used as traditional USB modems or as portable Wi-Fi mobile hotspots for wireless connectivity. Users of this innovative product line may access wireless broadband networks by inserting them into the USB port of a laptop, tablet or other device. To enable the Wi-Fi mobile hotspot feature, users can insert them into an external power source with the use of an A/C adaptor, car cigarette lighter adaptor or battery pack, instantly transforming them into a Wi-Fi mobile hotspot available to multiple users. 

A dual-mode LTE/CDMA version of the Smart USB Hotspot was launched in October with C Spire Wireless, a leading US wireless carrier. The Company believes that the Franklin Wireless 2-in-1 Smart USB Hotspot series is a first for the worldwide 4G market.

The Smart USB Hotspot series is exceptionally easy to use and has many convenient and innovative features including:
