AirTouch Communications Is Named "Stock of the Year 2012" by the KonLin Letter
Patented Products Are Targeted at Vast Areas With No Landlines
NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - Jan 19, 2012) - AirTouch Communications, Inc. (
In the report, KonLin publisher Konrad Kuhn noted that AirTouch has positioned itself to respond to the surging, worldwide demand for wireless communications and wireless substitution for landlines in the U.S. and internationally.
AirTouch develops and markets patented telecommunication devices capable of converging voice, data, video, security, entertainment and other advanced communication services from various service providers on one piece of hardware over the cellular network. The company has seven U.S. patents (three approved and four pending) for its unique combination of cordless telephone technology and wireless signal amplification, which enables consumers and businesses to access voice, data and other applications and services over the cellular wireless network in areas that might challenge a typical mobile cellular phone.
The AirTouch X1500 HomeConneX wireless phone is certified to be used on Verizon Wireless 3G networks, Kuhn noted. The product allows customers and small businesses to "cut the cord" to their landline service providers for both voice and data, while retaining excellent phone sound quality and full data services.
Kuhn pointed out that the AirTouch telephone and data unit operates at up to 10 times the signal strength of a handheld mobile phone while dramatically reducing the amount of microwave radiation to human tissue.
In addition to an agreement to distribute its products through the Verizon Wireless independent distributor network, Kuhn noted that AirTouch recently signed a long-term 4G- LTE wholesale agreement with LightSquared, the nation's first wholesale-only, integrated 4G-LTE wireless broadband and satellite network. Under the agreement, LightSquared would provide the spectrum on a wholesale basis to AirTouch. This is a key step in AirTouch's plan to become a Mobile Virtual Network Operator.
"In order to meet the expected international growth in countries where a large number of rural residents will not receive landline coverage in the foreseeable future due to cost and geography, the company has established a joint venture with a major Chinese electronics distribution company. The joint venture, fully registered by the Chinese government, is known as AirTouch China," stated Kuhn.
Kuhn noted that AirTouch China will be able to obtain purchase orders from Chinese carriers, including China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom. AirTouch products such as the HomeConneX X2000 are ready to target the millions of rural Chinese with limited or no access to voice, Internet, entertainment and other advanced communication services due to the absence of landlines.
With regard to the size of the potential market for AirTouch, Kuhn noted that the World Health Organization estimates that more than 2 billion people in the BRIC nations (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and N-11, or Next-11 countries, are expected to move into the income bracket over the next five that will be demanding wireless voice, Internet and entertainment services, but will continue to have scarce landline coverage.
