Aimed specifically at ensuring compliant claims processing, the new release enables practices to immediately send ANSI 5010-formatted claims to insurance carriers via the ADP AdvancedMD integrated clearinghouse and billing module.

[ ANSI 5010 ] is the new electronic data format standard that every health care provider will be required to use in health care transactions, code sets, and identifiers by January 1, 2012.

The new ADP AdvancedMD claims submission process has undergone rigorous testing between medical practices, billing services and insurance payers. With the 2011 Fall release, clients can begin immediate testing and correct any workflow issues before the new standard takes effect. Because the service is cloud-based, all clients will be automatically transitioned to the ANSI 5010 format on January 1, 2012, without purchasing updated software or incurring additional installation fees.
