MALVERN, PA--(Marketwire - August 13, 2009) - Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: [ VSH ]) today announced that a new tool has been added to the Vishay Web site: the Video Library. Designed to highlight Vishay products and technologies, the short videos in Vishay's new Video Library are aimed at design engineers and others looking for discrete component solutions and related application information.

Most of the videos feature technical demonstrations by Vishay engineers and technical staff. They show technical performance differences between Vishay components and competing components. The product demonstration videos also include links to relevant literature and Web site pages. In addition, the Video Library includes videos on company brochures which provide overviews of the brochures and explain how to use them for component selection.

Current topics explored in the Video Library include Bulk Metal® foil resistor applications, Power Metal Strip® resistor applications, the spectral sensitivities of ambient light sensors, an overview of Vishay LCD display products, and more. New videos will be added periodically, with the goal of covering Vishay's broad range of semiconductors and passive electronic components.
