Gwinnett County students awarded at annual Georgia Science & Engineering Fair

  Gwinnett County Public Schools students earned several top honors at the 77th Georgia Science & Engineering Fair at the University of Georgia.


At the annual Georgia Science and Engineering Fair held at the University of Georgia, several students from Gwinnett County Public Schools were recognized for their outstanding projects. Among the winners, Berkmar High School's senior, Aryan Patel, secured first place in the Biochemistry category with his project on enzyme kinetics. Additionally, North Gwinnett High School's junior, Sophia Lee, took home second place in the Environmental Science category for her research on microplastics in local water sources. Other notable mentions include Parkview High School's freshman, Ethan Nguyen, who received an honorable mention in the Physics and Astronomy category for his innovative project on solar energy efficiency. The fair not only highlighted the students' scientific prowess but also their dedication to advancing knowledge in their respective fields.
