A now-former student at the Gwinnett School of Math, Science and Technology is facing felony charges after police say he recorded videos inside a girls' restroom multiple times.The most recent incident occurred on Feb.
A student from Gwinnett County, Georgia, has been charged with felony unlawful eavesdropping and invasion of privacy after allegedly recording videos in the girls' restroom at Seckinger High School. The incident came to light when a female student discovered a cellphone hidden in a paper towel dispenser in the bathroom. The phone was actively recording, and upon review, it was found to contain multiple videos of other students using the restroom. The accused student, whose identity has not been disclosed due to being a minor, was arrested and is currently held at a Regional Youth Detention Center. The school district has stated that they are cooperating with the police investigation and are taking steps to ensure the safety and privacy of their students.
