MALVERN, PA--(Marketwire - April 9, 2009) - Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: [ VSH ]) announced today that its Annual Meeting of Stockholders will be held on May 26, 2009 at 11:30 a.m., Eastern Time at Vishay World Headquarters, 63 Lancaster Avenue, Malvern, PA 19355.

Dr. Felix Zandman, Vishay's Executive Chairman of the Board and Chief Technical and Business Development Officer, and Dr. Gerald Paul, Vishay's President and Chief Executive Officer, will make presentations. A live audio webcast will be accessible on the Vishay website at [ http://ir.vishay.com ].

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission recently adopted rules that allow companies to change the way they make proxy statements and other annual meeting materials available to stockholders. The rules require that the company mail a notice to its stockholders advising that its proxy statement, annual report to stockholders, electronic proxy card, and related materials are available for viewing, free of charge, on the Internet. Stockholders may then access these materials and vote over the Internet or request delivery of a full set of materials by mail or email. Vishay has elected to utilize this process for the 2009 annual meeting. Vishay began mailing the required notice, called the "Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials," to stockholders on or about, April 9, 2009. These rules give Vishay the opportunity to serve stockholders more efficiently by making the proxy materials available quickly online and reducing costs associated with printing and postage.
