SLINTEC commercialises record 8 patents and innovations within 12 months

The Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC) has undergone a significant transformation, successfully commercializing four patents and advancing four more innovations to the final stages of commercialization. This progress was highlighted during a recent visit by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who praised the institute's efforts in fostering innovation and economic growth. SLINTEC's achievements include the development of a nano-fertilizer that enhances crop yield and reduces environmental impact, a water purification technology, and advancements in medical diagnostics and treatments. The institute's focus on nanotechnology has not only led to these commercial successes but also positions Sri Lanka as a hub for high-tech innovation in the region. The President emphasized the importance of such technological advancements in driving the country's economic recovery and sustainable development.
