Kids in Reading got a chance to be scientists for a day on Sunday.

The Reading Science Center hosted its 2nd Annual Celebrate Science Day on May 4th, themed around Star Wars to engage children in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities. The event featured hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and interactive exhibits, including a special appearance by R2-D2 and other Star Wars characters. Over 200 attendees participated in activities such as building and launching rockets, exploring the physics of light sabers, and learning about the science behind space travel. The event aimed to inspire young minds and foster a love for STEM, with organizers expressing their excitement about the enthusiastic response from the community and their plans to continue this annual tradition.
