South Georgia State College (SGSC) celebrated its first graduating class of Mechanical Engineering Technology students on June 9, 2025, marking a significant milestone for the institution. The ceremony honored 15 graduates who completed the rigorous two-year program, which is designed to prepare students for careers in mechanical engineering and related fields. The event was attended by faculty, family members, and industry representatives, highlighting the strong support and collaboration between SGSC and local businesses. Dr. Ingrid Thompson-Sellers, President of SGSC, praised the graduates for their dedication and hard work, emphasizing the program's role in meeting the growing demand for skilled engineers in the region.
