  The prosecution and defense offered vastly different facts and theories as Karen Read's second murder trial got underway Tuesday.

In the retrial of Karen Read for the murder of her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O'Keefe, opening statements revealed new details about the case. The prosecution alleged that Read, after a night of drinking, backed her SUV into O'Keefe and left him to die in the snow.
