Move, Inc. Appoints Ray Picard as Executive Vice President of Sales -- SAN JOSE, Calif., April 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Move, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ MOVE ]), the leader in online real estate, today announced that Ray Picard has joined the company as executive vice president of sales effective April 15, 2013. This marks the company's second executive appointment in two weeks, following [ Errol Samuelson's promotion to chief strategy officer ]. Picard is based at the company's San Jose, Calif. headquarters and reports directly to chief executive officer Steve Berkowitz . 

In this new position, Picard oversees strategic sales growth across all Move brands including: realtor.com, Top Producer, Moving, Rentals as well as Media. Additionally, he will expand the company's focus on providing more complete solutions for customers, helping them to expand their real estate businesses using Move's offerings.

Ray Picard joins Move from EMC Corporation, where he held the position of vice president of Americas for the Information Intelligence Software Group. At EMC, Picard led the team to several quarters of growth in an increasingly challenging market.

Prior to EMC, Picard was vice president of worldwide field operations at Hara Software, a Kleiner Perkins -backed leader in clean tech software.  Additionally, Ray spent 10 years at Interwoven Inc. where he helped transform the company from a content management system provider to an online digital marketing platform. In the role VP of America's Field Operations, he oversaw many quarters of year over year growth.
