Procera Networks Offers New NAVL 4.0 DPI Engine as SDK for License to OEMs
High-Performance, Fully-Featured Layer 7 DPI SDK Enables New Paths to Revenue Generation and Customer Retention

New NAVL 4.0 features and capabilities include:
- Industry-leading high-performance throughput capabilities - The NAVL 4.0 DPI engine can easily classify traffic at speeds well above 100Gbps, with minimal effect on network response times, latency or jitter.
- Full IPv6Support - IPv6 is becoming more prevalent in network deployments, and NAVL 4.0 includes extensions for native IPv6 applications. This dramatically simplifies integration for IPv6-ready networking equipment, including CGN and IPv6 tunnelling implementations.
- De-tunnelling GPRS Tunneling Protocols (GTP) - NAVL can look inside these tunnels created between points on mobile networks to expose application types and names to NAVL users. This is very useful to mobile carriers and mobile probe vendors, who were previously unable to determine what application traffic was running over their networks between these points. NAVL can now inspect the entire packet without de-tunneling, improving performance and scalability for both mobile and fixed line equipment vendors.
- Metadata extraction improvements - Metadata extraction is an area where NAVL really excels. Long able to extract metadata, or "data about data" from packets, NAVL 4.0 now does so with advanced techniques designed to provide even more granular metadata, significantly reducing onboard resource consumption and increasing processing speed and metadata extraction.
