UPDATE: New Enhanced ViewScan Weapons Detection System to Be Installed in 17 Detroit Schools

BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwire - Oct 11, 2012) - View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: [ VSYM ]), a weapons detection and access control provider, announced today the enhanced, new ViewScan VS-1000, has been successfully selected for installation in 17 Detroit Public Schools. The VS-1000, introduced at the annual ASIS Security Conference and Exposition in Philadelphia, has been chosen by multiple companies to be used for access control. The first installs are scheduled for the Detroit market. Michigan has mushroomed into a significant profit region for the company. The new improved VS-1000 senses the smallest readings without being affected by environmental disturbances and structural elements such as reinforced concrete and metal door frames. Unlike ordinary Metal detectors the ViewScans can be placed directly next to each other and still function correctly. Chosen for use at the National Democratic Convention, the ViewScans functioned flawlessly.

View Systems has teamed with local manufacturers and integrators to expand its products and market share. View has expended funds towards expanding its sales and marketing operations in the Michigan and surrounding states region. Resources are being devoted to supporting business development in the area and expanding the division's sales staff. To date we have installed systems in the Detroit Public Schools, Bayview Electric ESS School, Wiltec Electronic Security Group, Fox Command Center, Detroit Police Department, Harper Woods School, Blueline and rented equipment to Pinkerton and Harper Woods School.

"We have been taking the operations to the next level, raised the necessary resources and implemented our expansion plan," commented John Rademaker, View's Director of Business Development.
