HINESVILLE, Ga., Aug. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Durand Standard, [ CenturyLink, Inc. ] (NYSE: [ CTL ]) vice president and general manager for the company's Georgia and South Carolina operations, was recently named the 2012-2013 President of the Georgia Telecommunications Association (GTA).

GTA's membership includes 30 independent telephone companies that serve more than half of Georgia. The association provides a vehicle through which member interests can be represented in legislative, regulatory and public areas. In addition, the association provides a forum for members to exchange information and to assist each other in times of disaster.
