Stock Commences Trading on Over the Counter Market

HONOLULU, HI--(Marketwire - Jul 17, 2012) - Hoku Corporation (PINKSHEETS: [ HOKU ]), a solar energy products and services company (the "Company"), announced it had filed a Form 25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") on July 16, 2012. The Company also reported it had initiated the formal deregistration process with the SEC, which -- when complete -- would eliminate the Company's public reporting requirements.

Shares of the Company's common stock commenced trading on The OTC Pink market on July 16, 2012.
