(NYSE: [ SWI ]), a leading provider of powerful and affordable [ IT management software ], today announced a deal with the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) that will give the Regional Internet Registry deeper insights into its network monitoring and reporting.

APNIC is the not-for-profit member organization that provides Internet addressing services across the Asia Pacific region, which includes growing numbers to accommodate rapidly expanding Internet use in China and India. APNIC has more than 3,200 account holders in 56 economies throughout the region and the organization has 65 staff at the head office in Brisbane. In the first quarter of 2010 alone, APNIC distributed a record 27 million IPv4 Internet addresses.

APNIC purchased SolarWinds' [ Orion Network Performance Monitor ] (NPM) and [ Orion NetFlow Traffic Analyzer ] (NTA) solutions to improve monitoring and reporting on its network, which spans three sites in Australia and additional sites in Japan, Hong Kong and the USA.
