FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - November 9, 2009) - Network Equipment Technologies, Inc. ("NET") (NASDAQ: [ NWK ]) announced today that it has contracted GlassHouse Technologies, a global provider of independent IT infrastructure consulting services, for global service and support of NET's VX Series. The VX Series is a fully integrated multi-service voice switch that provides high-performance VoIP communications for enterprise Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS) deployments.

GlassHouse was selected for their ability to provide on-site service anywhere in the world through its wide geographical coverage and global service dispatching capability. The company's team of more than 32,000 engineers, along with its guarantee of a four hour response window, were key factors in NET's decision. Further, GlassHouse's commitment to pro-active follow-up and attention to customer service led to NET's choice to contract with them for this critical portion of NET's business.

"The unified communications market is emerging globally. Our ability to easily integrate new VoIP technologies into existing voice networks in any environment in any location is critical to our success. Teaming with GlassHouse will help us to provide our customers the highest quality service and support for their deployments," said Pete Patel, NET's Vice President, Global Operations. "GlassHouse has the expertise and bandwidth to provide our customers with the best on-site technical support available, and we are pleased to be working with them."

"We are pleased to support NET's VX Series worldwide," said Brian Ritchie, SVP of Support and Managed Services at GlassHouse. "GlassHouse's seamless integration into NET's business provides predictable and manageable support services. In addition, our global reach supports NET's commitment of providing superior customer support."
