  Questions arose as to whether or not the Arlington National Cemetery website removed information about Civil Rights leader Megar Evers. This comes as the cemetery is in the process of complying with President Donald Trump's executive orders to roll back diversity, equity and inclusion from federal programs and initiatives.

The Arlington National Cemetery is actively working to comply with the Department of Defense's (DoD) directives on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). This includes revising its website to reflect these values, as part of a broader effort to ensure that all aspects of military culture and operations align with DEI principles. The changes involve updating language, imagery, and content to be more inclusive, aiming to represent and honor the diverse backgrounds of those who have served and are buried there. This initiative is part of a larger push by the DoD to integrate DEI into all facets of military life, from recruitment to memorialization, ensuring that the cemetery's portrayal of American military history is inclusive and equitable.
