Regional competency development centre to be set up at tech university

The Haryana government has announced the establishment of a Regional Competency Development Centre (RCDC) at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology in Murthal, Sonipat. This initiative, aimed at enhancing the skills of the youth, will be developed in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The RCDC will focus on providing industry-specific training, fostering innovation, and promoting entrepreneurship. It will offer courses in areas like artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and cybersecurity, among others, to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. The center is expected to not only improve employment prospects for students but also contribute to the economic development of the region by aligning educational outcomes with market needs.
