Mediacorp radio DJ charged with voyeurism and sexual communication with minor

A Mediacorp radio DJ, identified as 34-year-old Marcus Chin, has been charged with voyeurism and sexual communication with a minor. The charges stem from incidents where Chin allegedly recorded upskirt videos of a 15-year-old girl in a supermarket in June 2022 and engaged in sexual communication with her via text messages. He faces one count of voyeurism and one count of sexual communication with a minor under the Children and Young Persons Act. Chin, who has been with Mediacorp since 2017, was remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for medical examination following his court appearance. If convicted of voyeurism, he could face up to two years in jail, a fine, caning, or a combination of these penalties. For sexual communication with a minor, he could be sentenced to up to three years in jail, a fine, or both.
