The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) has secured Rs 20,000 crore in equity support and an additional Rs 5,000 crore as a grant from the Indian government to bolster its operations. This financial backing aims to enhance NaBFID's capacity to fund infrastructure projects across India, which are crucial for economic development. The equity infusion will help NaBFID in providing long-term, low-cost financing for infrastructure, thereby supporting the government's push towards infrastructure-led growth.
