Zomato's global head of finance Hemal Jain is stepping down from the company after a six-year long stint to "explore other opportunities".
Hemal Jain, who served as the Business Finance Head at Zomato, has resigned from his position to explore new opportunities. Jain joined Zomato in 2020 and was instrumental in managing the company's financial operations, including the acquisition of Blinkit (formerly Grofers). His departure comes at a time when Zomato is focusing on profitability and cost management. Jain's exit was confirmed by Zomato, and he expressed his gratitude towards the company and its CEO, Deepinder Goyal, for the enriching experience. This move is part of a broader trend of senior-level exits at Zomato, following the departure of other key executives in recent months.
